A is for April.

Always seems to me as a month of woes.

My mother died in April when I was twenty. I always had thought I could never live
if one of my parents died, but I did.

Here I am seven years younger than my mother when she died. Like her, I have three children, one
of them born later in my life. The two eldest are even both Scorpios, just like my mother's two eldest.

Will my life be similar to hers in other ways? Will I die in my fifties?

My resolution to avoid death:  never go into the hospital.

  1. I am sorry that April is a bad month for you. I suppose if you know what caused the problems for your mom, you could take steps to avoid them, if possible. Having been in the hospital several times for injuries, I would avoid hospitals anyway!

    1. I have avoided my mother's main problem, but hospitals seem even more dangerous today with MERSA, etc.

  2. So sorry to hear about your mother. History doesn't have to repeat itself and I hope you never have to go to the hospital.

    1. Thanks, so far the only times I have been in the hospital have been either to give birth or to be born. If I had listened to the mid wife's recommendation of having a C section with my last one, I probably would be dead. But I just kept my mouth shut and did not reply to her suggestion.

  3. I'm sorry to hear about your mother. I recently read about a new book written by a woman who lost her mom around the same age. Supposedly it's really enlightening http://www.amazon.com/Wild-Found-Pacific-Crest-Trail/dp/0307592731/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333318381&sr=8-1

  4. Visiting from A/Z. I'm so sorry about your mom's passing; I know it was years ago, but we always miss our moms. I do like your thought on how to avoid death....I think there is a lot of wisdom in it!

    Good luck with the challenge!

    1. Thanks. Now both of my parents are gone, so I guess I supposed to be 'the adult'
      Ha!

  5. Sorry to hear about your mother. I lost my dad in April when I was 21. It never leaves us, losing a parent.

I hope you live longer and get a late, peaceful and hospital-free death when the time comes.
